Cleaning tips
Some things to keep in mind about cleaning your machine:
•Do clean it! Dust and dirt, especially around the fax machine’s air vents can shorten
your machine’s life.
•Always unplug the machine before you clean it.
•Never spray any cleaner directly onto your machine. The drifting spray could
damage components inside.
•Never try to clean sealed areas inside your machine. They are sealed for both
your safety and the safety of your machine.
•Forcleaningthemachine’sexterior,useamildcleaningsolutionsprayedontoalint-
free cloth.
•Inareasyoucannotreachwithswabs,always use dry, dust-free compressed air to
gently blow away dust and other material.
Cleaning the scanning area

Wipe the document glass, ADF glass and document pad with a clean, soft, lint-free
cloth moistened with water.

Then wipe it with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth until it is clean and dry.
